What to wear and what to bring on our adventures
Dress according to the layer-principle
The weather in Sweden can be very unpredictable, and it’s important to dress accordingly when going on an adventure with us in Lofsdalen. Please follow the layering principle, regardless if you visit us in summer or winter:
Base layer – wicks sweat off your skin
Thermal underwear or breathable t-shirt, we recomend merino wool (cotton is not recommended as it retains moisture)
Middle layer – insulation
A fleece or merino wool sweater/vest
Outer layer (shell) – protect against the elements
A breathable jacket resistant to rain and wind. For the really cold days you can bring a fourth layer, for example a down vest or jacket.
Shoes
High hiking boots are strongly recommended for hiking. At the least shoes with good profile are mandatory forsafety reasons: it’s easy to slip on wet rocks/surfaces and hurt yourself if you don’t have good grip!
